No Stomach Left Behind Blog Post

One of the amazing benefits of essential oils, that nothing else can do, is flavor foods. I Love to keep all the raw nutrients in fresh fruits by making raw desserts using essential oils. The flavor is phenomenal—nothing can do (or flavor) what Thieves essential oil can do in a crust, and nothing adds that fresh lemony taste that lem🍋n oil does when added to the mix. Below I’ll post the different steps I took to make this freestyle dessert, and maybe it will give you some ideas on using random things to make something delightful to share! 😄 Thanks to my new friends I met when watching the Eclipse last week, I was gifted with all their Plums on their tree haha.. So I’m not putting them to waste! So I made this..

Plum Crisp

Crust: ½ cup Sunflower seed meal (blend seeds at low speed) (may also use almond or any other nut of preference), 2 tbsp Coconut sugar, ⅓ cup Coconut oil (+74° or melted), ½ cup Coconut flour, and 2 drops of Thieves® essential oil.

Filling: 18 Plums (pitted and chopped), blended with ¼ cup Coconut sugar (mix into the sugar ¾ tsp total of gum—I used both guar gum and xanthan gum (Chuck’s Produce; Natural Grocers) and blend the mixture into the bowl of Plums.

Add a drop of nutmeg essential oil and few drops of lemon EO and you’re spiced to go! Pour into the pressed pan your mixture.

Topping: ½ cup Sunflower seed meal / 2 tbsp Coconut sugar / a dash of Cinnamon powder

Now refrigerate until ready to eat.

Enjoy! 😃
